Become a
SCI-MAA Guide or Guardian

SCI-MAA Sacred Guided Linguistic Dance®, an Animist practice, seeks to restore traditional healing knowledge by recognizing the diverse methods found in global animism traditions. Historically, traditional healers have been both women and men, with their techniques often varying by gender. SCI-MAA® harmonizes these differences by blending masculine and feminine energies in our meditative and energy healing practices. Men act as protectors of the sacred space, while women lead the transformative dance, embracing gender as a social construct that fosters inclusivity and balance.

SCI-MAA GUIDE :

THE FEMININE ENERGY AT SERVICE

“ The earliest known evidence of shamanic practice found by archeologists, dating from more than 30,000 years ago, indicated that the shaman was a woman”.

Women healers: from ancient female shamans to 21st-century doulas,By Leah Kinthaert (insights.taylorandfrancis.com).

What is the SCI-MAA Guide's role?

The SCI-MAA Guide's role is to assist participants or SCI-MAA healers in connecting with their inner selves through sacred linguistic movement, enhancing their self-awareness, and tapping into the nurturing energy of the sacred feminine. A SCI-MAA Guide is akin to a Shamanka or Shamanesse.

A SCI-MAA Guide is a multifaceted practitioner, blending dance, art performance, and storytelling. Drawing inspiration from animist traditions worldwide, they sometimes use facial expressions to convey emotions, embody animals or spirits, or disguise identity, evoking the ancient practice of ceremonial masks. Their performances are often accompanied by primal sounds and may incorporate additional elements, such as light language, drums, and/or traditional songs, depending on their qualifications. Through their work, SCI-MAA Guides weave powerful narratives, transporting participants to new realms of awareness and connection.
